“Octomusic School & Live” is proud to invite you to “Stick Center Italia Spring Meeting 2019” which will take place in San Quirico d’Orcia on 17-18 and 19 May 2019.
The Meeting is intended primarily for Chapman Stick musicians but is open to everyone who is familiar or wants to learn more about “tapping technique”.
The event will be curated and directed by Andrea Atreio Marcucci and Tommaso Niccolai which will take place at “Octomusic School & live”, located in the lovely village San Quirico d’Orcia a world heritage of humanity by UNESCO and pearl of the Renaissance epoch and a cultural beacon, thanks to its strategic location on the “Via Francigena”.

RULES
The Meeting aims to create a musician rendezvous, Italian and International, for musicians who want to share their experience on Stick and to perform live in solos, supported by drummers/percussionists and other musicians or singers.
Octomusic School will take care of organizing the Topics according to everyone’s preferences and arranging live performances. The participants will decide the songs that they wish to play and the classes focus for example how to arrange a song or a particular musical genre, how to improve the method of improvisation or managing the sound-effects etc..
If you wish to put forward the Topic that you are interested in you have to send it to octomusicschool@gmail.com by 2 May 2019.
REGISTATION
The entry cost to the event is €15 directly in cash when you’ll get here.
EQUIPEMENT
Besides your instrument you should bring a Stereo-to-mono cable to connect to the Sound System.
Everyone who doesn’t have a Stick is requested to inform us: we will try to ask to others lucky participants that have two or more Sticks to lend them (if it’s possible) during the permanence to the Meeting. We would be very grateful.
